Departure

Just a word to the wise - Air China is different than China Airlines - and the Grand Central to JFK buses have no idea what the are doing. I should have known something was up when the terminal I was dropped at was deserted. It was a nice preview of what hoofing all of my gear around will be walking between a very desolate and frankly, creepy, terminal and the new terminal that China Airlines moved to. Security couldn’t have been easier however and I was on my computer in no time.

You know a flight is long when you get served more than 2 meals. I ate 5 on the first flight. Unbeknownst to me our flight was not direct from JFK to Taipei, we got a nice layover of about 30 minutes in the gift-shop area of the Anchorage, AK airport. Looking back I should have picked up some chocolate covered blueberries.
